No Petroleum and Mineral Oils – Synthetic by-products of the oil industry. These ingredients have very large molecular structures. As a result, they tend to coat the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. They also interfere with skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and allergic reactions.

No Soy, Corn and Canola Oils – These three oils, though natural and vegetable based, are some of the most mass-produced oils on the market. As a result, they are often highly refined (low nutritional value) and contain both genetically-modified organisms (GMO’s) and harmful pesticide residues. If purchasing products containing these oils, be sure that they are certified organic, cold or expeller pressed and specifically state that they do not contain GMO’s.

No “Parabens” – Preservatives that are found in most food and personal care products. Though effective against bacterial/mold/yeast contamination, these industrial chemicals have been linked to human breast cancers.

No Harm to Animals – Out of respect for all life forms, Essencetree’s products are 100% vegetarian. They are not tested on animals. Some raw materials that we use, such as honey and beeswax, were created by animals. However, these animals were not harmed in the collection of these ingredients. In addition, we are proud to say that many of our products are vegan (i.e. our massage balms, oils and bath salts.)

No Fillers – We do not believe in fillers, or “padding” water-based products for purely cosmetic purposes. We generously give you the best ingredients each and every time.

We proudly use high-quality natural ingredients such as nourishing vegetable butters, nutrient-rich plant oils, healing essential oils and floral waters, organic herbs, antioxidants, mineral salts, raw sugars and natural clays. Below, we have highlighted just a few of them:

Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Apricot Kernel and Coconut Oils (Organic & Conventional) – These nutrient-rich plant oils were selected for their therapeutic properties for all skin types. Expeller-pressed, they still retain their nutritional values. Protein-rich and high in vitamins and minerals, these oils are excellent moisturizers, healers and rejuvenators. Sweet Almond Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. Also, coveted for its high Vitamin E content and skin softening properties, Apricot Kernel Oil is a light-weight oil, wonderful for oily and sensitive skin. Renowned jojoba oil, also beneficial for all skin types, protects the skin and clears it of residue and build-up.

Shea, Mango and Cocoa Butters – We use high-quality, 100% natural butters that have been expeller-pressed and tested for mold and bacterial growth. Natural Shea Butter, besides having superior moisturizing properties, contains high amounts of Vitamins A and E, as well as anti-inflammatory and cellular repair compounds. Likewise, Mango Butter is an emollient with healing and regenerative properties and is a good source of essential fatty acids. Cocoa Butter is a superb emollient often used to protect skin from stretch marks and scarring. All of these butters are renowned the world over for their skin softening capabilities and natural UV protection. Unlike other commercial products, we use generous amounts of plant butters in our products.

Rose and Orange Blossom Hydrosols (Floral Waters) – Instead of using distilled or deionized water as the sole liquid in our creams and lotions, Essencetree uses these precious aromatics. Pure Floral Waters are naturally created during the production of essential oils. As a result, they retain many of the valuable properties of the plant. Rose water (and rose essential oil) is renowned the world over for its balancing and rejuvenating effects on all skin types. It is particular beneficial for aging and dry skin, eczema, puffiness and broken capillaries. Orange blossom water, or neroli, equally prized, tones and works wonders on sensitive, mature and delicate skin. It’s also very effective on scars, acne and stretch marks. We use only 100% pure hydrosols with no additives..

Organic Aloe Vera – This gel is celebrated for its ability to soothe and heal burned skin. As an antioxidant, aloe vera also counteracts free radical development, internally and externally. It also treats adverse skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. We use only 100% pure, organic aloe vera with no additives.

Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) – This potent, natural antioxidant is the primary preservative in our creams, balms and lotions.We have found it to be extremely effective when combined with our Vitamin blend.GSE is a substance derived from the seeds, membranes, and the pulp of grapefruit. Used as a broad-spectrum, non-toxic, antimicrobial product, it is known to be highly effective for fighting infection and promoting health. All over the world, GSE has been used for killing a wide variety of bacteria (such as: Salmonella, E.Coli, Staph and Strep germs), viruses, herpes, parasites, and fungi, including Candida. It is effective against more than 800 bacterial and viral strains, 100 strains of fungus, as well as a large number of single-cell and multi-celled parasites.
