Ritual

Rinse hair thoroughly and apply a generous amount to wet hair, massaging it thoroughly first into scalp, then hair, adding additional water as needed for thorough distribution. Comb through and leave on while showering, then rinse with warm water.

To use as a leave in conditioner: After rinsing and towel drying hair, apply a small amount to ends. Comb through to distribute evenly, and style as usual.

Is this a Co-Wash?

Essentially, yes. Goodbye hard hair! Hello super-soft curls. The Aloe Apothecary Cream Cleanser will give your hair its deepest moisture yet. Our Superfood Cleansing Cream is organic, vegan and nutrient-rich. It is also multi-functional--working to clean, moisturize, detangle AND grow hair.

Do I use this instead of shampoo?

Yes, but you will still need to shampoo occasionally. This is a conditioning cleanser. Since the Aloe Apothecary Cleansing Cream is gentle, we recommend using a sulfate-free shampoo when you have a lot of buildup on your hair and scalp (from products or residue). Otherwise, we generally suggest shampooing 1-2x/month.

The Cleansing Cream may be used after your shampoo to restore lost moisture and aid in detangling.

I wash my hair twice a month, so I generally use a shampoo first. I then use our clay, cleanser and deep conditioner afterwards.

How long does it take to see results?
